My understanding of these terms: soft reset happens when you power down the phone and then restarting. Hard reset is a factory reset. It us when you erase all of the information you have put in it and returning it (hopefully ) to the state it was when new.
What is the advantage of hard reset?
Improves Smartphone Performance This is by far the most significant benefit when it comes to hard reset your smartphone. The longer you use your android phone, the more unnecessary data it stores. There is also the remaining data from uninstalling apps. This data consumes up a lot of RAM and storage in the background.
What is meant by hard reset?
A factory reset, also known as hard reset or master reset, is a software restore of an electronic device to its original system state by erasing all of the information stored on the device. A keyboard input button factory reset is used to restore the device to its original manufacturer settings.
