Ovulation. This is when you produce the most discharge, do don't be alarmed if you feel “wetter” than usual. As oestrogen peaks right before ovulation (1 or 2 days before), vaginal discharge will resemble raw egg whites—clear, slippery and stretchy.

Why do I have white discharge before my period?

Discharge before a period tends to be cloudy or white, due to the increased presence of progesterone, a hormone involved in both the menstrual cycle and pregnancy. In other phases of the cycle, when the body has higher levels of estrogen, vaginal discharge tends to be clear and watery.

Can white discharge delay periods?

Vaginal discharge is normal, and it typically changes texture and color throughout the menstrual cycle. It is common for discharge to be cloudy or white several days before a period starts. Cramps and white discharge could, therefore, indicate a late period rather than pregnancy.

How do you know if your period is coming or your pregnant?

Bleeding PMS: You generally won't have bleeding or spotting if it's PMS. When you have your period, the flow is noticeably heavier and can last up to a week. Pregnancy: For some, one of the first signs of pregnancy is light vaginal bleeding or spotting that's usually pink or dark brown.

Does white discharge mean pregnancy?

It's completely normal. As you get closer to your period, the discharge may become thicker and more opaque. This milky white discharge may also be a sign that you're pregnant. In the early stages of pregnancy, some people produce a thin, milky white discharge.
